A southern California native, Justin enlisted in the U.S. Navy at age 17 and served 12 years. He graduated from SWCC class 30 in 1999 and was one of the first SWCC to complete Selection and Training for Naval Special Warfare Development Group in 2004.

Justin started tattooing while on active duty in San Diego and immediately fell in love with the craft. Tattooing became his passion. Tattooing on every training trip and deployment he went on. So, when his enlistment was complete he enrolled in art school in Los Angeles, the mecca of tattooing. Receiving his BFA (‘15) and MFA (‘17) from Otis College of Art and Design.

After tattooing all over the world, winning awards both domestically and internationally, Justin has decided to go on his own and open a new private studio in San Diego, CA. Located just two blocks from the iconic Windansea Beach, it seemed only natural to name the new studio Windansea Tattoo.

  • Yes. After the initial consultation a non-refundable deposit is required to book your tattoo appointment. The deposit will be applied to the final session of your tattoo.

  • We offer flexible pricing based on project type and complexity. After an initial conversation, we’ll provide a transparent quote with no hidden costs.

    Shop minimum is $200

  • Yes. Please keep in mind that most cover-ups require more than one session.
